Elon Musk’s mom shares his test results from 1989 on Twitter

Elon Musk’s mom, Maye Musk took to her Twitter handle on Wednesday to share a picture of his computer aptitude test results. She mentions how the test was taken when he was a teenager. The tweet gives out the information on how Elon’s marks were so good that he had to take a retest.

Maye Musk shared a picture of the letter from billionaire entrepreneur’s University and wrote, “@elonmusk I found your computer aptitude test from when you were 17. If I remember correctly, they had to retest you because they had never seen such a high score. No wonder you are such a brilliant engineer. #ProudMom (sic).”

The letter was from May 17, 1989, and was signed by the Director of Information Management at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. The letter says, “I have requested ISM (SA) to conduct aptitude tests on Elon Musk regarding computer programming, etc. The results were outstanding.” Tesla’s CEO scored A+ in both Operating and Programming. Elon briefly attended the aforementioned uni before he moved to Canada when he was seventeen.

The tweet quickly went viral with over 152.9k likes and more than 11.7k retweets. The people on the internet were blown away and shared their opinions on the same. Some people agreed how even when you’ve successfully built legit spaceships, your mom will still find a way to embarrass you. Others shared their sheer astonishment at the genius of the founder, CEO, CTO, and chief designer of SpaceX and the CEO product architect of Tesla. As much baffling as it is, can we be surprised though? It is a matter of sheer pride for Maye and every individual that looks up to him.
